Mathie P.G. Leers

Dr Mathie P.G. Leers is a laboratory specialist in Clinical Chemistry and has a specialisation as a laboratory haematologist, with clinical expertise in the diagnostics of hemato-oncology. He conducts more than 30 years of research in the field of oncology and data science. The topics of his major research lines are:

• investigating the role of circulating tumour DNA in clinical (hemato-) oncology,

• the role of tumour biological markers in hemato-oncology,

• epitope detection in macrophages, and their role in oncological diagnostics,

• Data science & machine learning in laboratory medicine.
